药品简介: Alcon公司4月16日称,FDA已批准抗菌素0.5%的Vigamox™(moxifloxacin)滴眼液。Vigamox为强效的第四代氟喹诺酮类抗菌素,对成人及大于或等于一岁的儿童安全有效。Vigamox滴眼液一日三次,疗程一周,主要用于治疗细菌性结膜炎,公司已对1400多名患者进行了临床试验。试验显示,Vigamox对造成眼表面感染的多种致病菌均有很好的抗菌效果,其中包括引起80%的眼部感染的葡萄球菌及链球菌这些革氏阳性菌。Vigamox对衣原体及其他一些致病菌也有高度活性。 由于moxifloxacin固有的抗菌活性,Vigamox滴眼液中没有加入防腐剂洁尔灭。PH值近中性,对眼部刺激小,能更好地适用儿童患者的使用,而且它对眼部组织有着很好的渗透性 美国眼科学会2003年会上提交一项研究说,莫西沙星(Vigamox)对细菌性结膜炎新生儿的耐受性很好,治疗成功率超过80%。 细菌性结膜炎是出生后头一月最常见的感染,约见于2-12%的新生儿。遗憾的是,目前FDA还没有批准用于1月以下新生儿局部应用的抗生素。 Vigamox(盐酸莫西沙星滴眼液,0.5%)是第四代氟喹诺酮药,对革兰氏阳性菌和阴性菌都有效。2002年春天该药可用于治疗3岁以上的细菌性结膜炎患者,但对更小的病人是否有效尚待研究。 美国犹他州山景眼科中心特利夫特(Robert L Treft)和同事评估了本药用于新生儿的安全性和有效性。该研究共纳入209名病儿,2-31天之间,随机分为接受Vigamox(0.5%)或Ciloxan(0.3%),每天三次,连续四天。 治疗初和第9天采集了眼分泌物并培养。开始68%的患儿培养物阳性,最常见的病原物为表皮葡萄球菌。培养物阳性的病人用Vigamox治疗的,病原物清除了92%,而且58%到治疗结束时达到临床治愈,到第9天时80%临床治愈。培养物阳性的病人用Vigamox治疗的第二天超过一半即有反应,到治疗结束时80%临床改善,第9天83%临床改善。发生副作用的很少,Vigamox组2人、Ciloxan组1人出现充血。另外后组还有一人眼皮水肿。 “Vigamox 0.5的耐受性很好,治疗第4天时的临床改善率达80%”,作者总结,“根据本研究,似乎Vigamox可用于所有年龄段的细菌性结膜炎病人”。 Vigamox Generic Name: moxifloxacin ophthalmic (mox ee FLOCK sah sin) Brand Names: Vigamox

What is Vigamox? Vigamox is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that kills sensitive bacteria by stopping the production of essential proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.
Vigamox is used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes.
Vigamox may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Important information about Vigamox Do not touch the Vigamox dropper on to any surface, including the eyes or hands. The dropper is sterile. If it becomes contaminated, it could cause an infection in the eye.
Apply light pressure to the inside corner of the eye (near the nose) after each drop to prevent the fluid from draining down the tear duct.
If you wear contact lenses, ask your doctor if you should wear them during treatment with Vigamox.

What should I discuss with my healthcare provider before using Vigamox? Do not use Vigamox if you have a viral or fungal infection in the eye. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria only. Do not use Vigamox if you have had an allergic reaction to it or other similar medicines in the past. Medicines similar to Vigamox include gatifloxacin ophthalmic (Zymar), gatifloxacin (Tequin), ciprofloxacin ophthalmic (Ciloxan), ciprofloxacin (Cipro), ofloxacin ophthalmic (Ocuflox), ofloxacin (Floxin), norfloxacin ophthalmic (Chibroxin), norfloxacin (Noroxin), levofloxacin ophthalmic (Quixin), levofloxacin (Levaquin), lomefloxacin (Maxaquin), sparfloxacin (Zagam), trovafloxacin (Trovan), and moxifloxacin (Avelox).
Vigamox is in the FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not use this medication without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment. It is not known whether moxifloxacin passes into breast milk. Do not use Vigamox without first talking to your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.

How should I use Vigamox? Use Vigamox eye drops exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you.
Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Vigamox. Ask your doctor if contact lenses can be reinserted after application of the medication.
To apply the eye drops: Shake the drops gently to be sure the medicine is well mixed. Tilt the head back slightly and pull down on the lower eyelid. Position the dropper above the eye. Look up and away from the dropper. Squeeze out a drop and close the eye. Apply gentle pressure to the inside corner of the eye (near the nose) for about 1 minute to prevent the liquid from draining down the tear duct..
Do not touch the dropper to any surface, including the eyes or hands. The dropper is sterile. If it becomes contaminated, it could cause an infection in the eye. Do not use any eye drop that is discolored or has particles in it. Store Vigamox at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep the bottle properly capped.

What happens if I miss a dose? Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next regularly scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and apply the next one as directed. Do not use a double dose of Vigamox.

What happens if I overdose? An overdose of Vigamox is unlikely to threaten life. If an overdose is suspected or if the drops are ingested, call an emergency room or poison control center for advice.

What should I avoid while using Vigamox? Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Vigamox may cause blurred vision. If you experience blurred vision, avoid these activities.
If you wear contact lenses, remove them before applying Vigamox. Ask your doctor if contact lenses can be reinserted after application of the medication.
Do not use other eye drops or medications during treatment with Vigamox unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

What are the possible side effects of Vigamox? Serious side effects are not expected to occur during treatment with Vigamox.
Some eye burning, stinging, irritation, itching, dryness, redness, tearing; or blurred vision may occur.
